Hello everyone!

Today I'm going to share with you my top 5 destinations in the Costa Brava (SPAIN). I will share some good hotspots with you and discuss some of my favorite beaches. let's go!

1. Cadaques

You will find many picturesque villages on the Costa Brava. one of them is Cadaqués, a white town where you can perfectly combine culture, sunbathing and exploring nature.  I took a day out and went all the way to the hidden village. and that is when I fell in love with the beautiful white houses and magnificent beaches.

- The authentic fishing village of Cadaqués is located in the northwest of Spain, about half an hour's drive from Roses. We actually took the car and went all the way from Blanes to Cadaques it took us 1 hour and 34 minutes. But it was such a beautiful road trip that I can recommend this to everyone.

- You will find lots of little restaurants in this villages. where in general many fish dishes are served. But we thought it was just a bit too pricey. but no sorrow, we have found the perfect solution for that. go for a picnic on the beach or walk up the hill and take a seat on one of the benches. in the center of Cadaqués there is a supermarket where you can quickly put together a good picnic for low prices.

- The largest beach in Cadaqués is Playa Grande. With a length of 200 meters you are guaranteed to find a place to enjoy the Spanish sun. But I recommend to walk a little further and you will find a lot of small beaches where you can relax and feel like you are in paradise.

2. Calella de Palafrugell

- Calella de Palafrugell is a beautiful village situated between the sea and mountains. it is best known among tourists because of the large and partly covered boulevaard where you can enjoy the Spanish dishes on a terrace. you will find a beautiful bay where you can rent a boat for a bargain and there are several beaches where you can enjoy the sun.

- We went to this beautiful village by car from Blanes and the journey time was only 55 minutes. well worth the travel time. we enjoyed a long day at the sea. where we were able to snorkel and saw hundreds of fish. the sea water is so clear. I think even the clearest sea water I have encountered in the entire costa brava! definitely recommended!

- what you can also do very well is stand up paddle boarding. we brought our own boards, but for no less than 10 euros you could also rent one. there is certainly something to do for young and old.

- a nice walk through this village is something you should definitely put on your bucket list. you can experience the real spanish culture here through very narrow streets. with every alley you get a new beautiful image and the small hidden beaches that you can also encounter during the walk make it complete. highly recommended after my opinion.

3. Castell-Platja d'Aro

- Playa d'Aro, also known as Castell-Playa d’Aro, is a coastal town on the north-east coast of Spain in the region of Catalonia. A very pleasant seaside resort where you can enjoy a wide beach and the boulevard that is full of cozy terraces. There is something here for young and old. Located close to the beach you will soon find a very pleasant shopping street. Where you can find well-known retail chains such as Mango, Guess, Bershka and a Barca Fan shop. there is also a lot to do for children! you have a very nice fair here that you can visit all year round.

- Go out for dinner with the beautiful sunset or in the center between the fun and hustle and bustle of the other tourists. A must is the restaurant enjoy it, which is located in the pleasant shopping street of Platja d'Aro. we enjoyed good meals here. we had a place on the terrace outside where there was a good atmosphere.

- From Blanes it took us 40 minutes by car. we thought it was a great ride.

- in this village you just have so much to experience. the houses here are also beautiful so if you like to view a house or apartment by the sea, I definitely recommend Platja d'Aro. for a holiday you can also visit beautiful campsites here or choose one of the many hotels. also very interesting is the water park Aquadiver. this amazing water park can be found 3 minutes from the beach.

4. Tossa de Mar

- Tossa de Mar, a cozy and family-friendly town. This coastal town has a beautiful beach, a pleasant boulevard, a center and enough activities to never get bored. You can visit this beautiful seaside town by boat, a bus or with your own car. We have chosen to go with the offer. We boarded in blanes and sailed to Tossa de Mar in about an hour. Along the way you will stop at other beautiful beaches and you can visit a beautiful cave. We really enjoyed this trip.

- Tossa de Mar is mainly recognized by Vila Vella. Here you will only find medieval stone houses which gives it a medieval feeling, You can take a beautiful walking tour through this medieval village. At the top you have a beautiful view of the entire city. On the way to the top you will find old houses and old shops where you can also stop for a drink

- This villages has more to offer than just Vila Vella. The city has a beautiful sandy beach of almost 400 meters with all amenities such as sun loungers and restaurants within walking distance. You can also enjoy snorkeling, diving and stand up paddle boarding here. there are many small beaches in the area that can often only be reached by boat. You can also come here often with a sup board.

- The center is also very nice to walk through. Restaurants, shops and other amenities are never far away. What I particularly like about this center are the many boutiques that you will only find in this village. And if you would like to spend the night here, Tossa de Mar also has plenty of hotels and campsites.

5.Blanes

- Blanes is the most southerly place on the Costa Brava. Blanes is the beautiful villages where we stayed all summer last year. But why do we love it so much? It's because of the beautiful beaches you can find there. one of them is called Cala de Sant Francesc.

- You can also find 2 very beautiful botanical gardens, a beautiful boulevard with a cute harbor, many restaurants, shops, a fair for young and old and every summer Flamenco dance competitions are also presented on a public space where you can go for free.

- In Blanes you can visit a market every day except on Sundays. On Mondays you will find the largest market located on the boulevard. it is usually gone again at 2 o'clock. in the afternoon you will find a market of about 750 meters in the harbor where you can get fresh fish.

- Blanes also has a few pleasant shopping streets. here and there you will find some european chains, but especially spanish boutiques. you can also eat out here! all over blanes you will find many restaurants. On the boulevaard, near the shops, but also a little more located in the village itself. there are also opportunities to go out in the nearby clubs or pubs.

- from Blanes you can actually visit the entire costa brava well. There is a good connection with bus, boat and even train.
